2024 Election Calendar – Updated

In 2024, over four billion people will head to the polls in more than 50 national electoral contests, marking the biggest-ever year for democracy. Three of the 10 most populous countries in the world – including Indonesia, Pakistan and Russia – have voted in pivotal national elections, while voters in the United States and Mexico will head to the polls later in the year. India is currently in the middle of its several-weeks-long elections, which are set to conclude on 1 June.

After its initial release in January, this 2024 Election Calendar will be updated every four months to reflect the most recent political, economic and security developments, including the conclusion of past elections.
