The global lithium trade

There are few metals more valuable to a global clean energy transition than lithium. Lithium is the lightest metal in the world, with a higher energy density than others – making it ideal for batteries to power electric vehicles. However, the rapid expansion in demand creates a series of new problems.

This AKE Special Report looks at a selection of countries – chosen by AKE’s Analysis team – which illustrate some of the challenges the sector will face in the years to come.
